I checked out this website while doing research on restaurants in the area with allergy friendly menu’s. To say I’m impressed would be a huge understatement. I will add an additional amendment when I get a chance to visit however the website was absolutely incredible. Here are a few things based off the website alone.

Burton’s has locations in the following states: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. While not a National chain, the restaurant is pretty spread over the eastern coastal states. This is pretty awesome as you will be able to find reviews and recommendations from all over. Burton’s overall look is classy while welcoming, making it a place you can go to for anything from date night to happy hour. They have a wide range of menu items that can fit any palate. The menu ranges from salads and burgers to steak and seafood. The food options on the menu are unique, creative and well thought out as to how they wanted to be represented.

The best part is that they have a separate menu and options for those with food allergies. They have a total and completely Gluten Free menu that is just as filled as their regular menu. This is so rare because many restaurants will charge you an arm and leg just for gluten-free bread, Burton’s does not. The menu prices are the same as they are on the regular menu. This also is deeply appreciated. As for those with other allergies, the servers will have a special colored pad that is used for the customers ordering allergy-free menu items. All you have to do is tell your server what allergy you have, and they take care of the rest.

The website has a whole page dedicated to addressing allergy-free eating and every measure taken to ensure the safety and comfort of their diners. They explain the cooking process, the cleaning process, and how they sanitized work stations to prevent cross-contamination. The cooking stations and equipment are complete separate work areas, fried foods are cooked in their own cooking oil. Every employee receives the special instructions and training during their employment to instill the importance of these processes.

If you are in an area where Burton’s is in the area, I recommend you go and try it. The reviews from their allergen laden customer’s are positive and heartwarming.
