Whew! I enjoyed the journey of writing my first book, but man was that a project! The Confident OBM book was a way for me to showcase all of my experience in project management. It should also give the reader confidence. You are being handed a guide to gain a lot of knowledge.

This took a lot of work, and before anyone asks, yes I did use AI to help. My thoughts get scattered. I used AI as a sounding board. It helped organize my chapter outline. I bought a license to Scrivener years ago, however I still find myself having issues organizing the chapters. I also struggle staying organized with the content of things I write. That’s my ADHD brain at work. I am one of the ones who truly supports using various tools to make my job easier. This includes AI.

The knowledge, was all my big brain, vomiting on the pages. You’re welcome! I have used the same skills, ideas, and project scenarios that I have reflected on, and recommended in the book. I have also used the same methods to create a type of portfolio (this website being on of them).

I want this to help others like me. Some people feel stuck and need direction. Hopefully, this can help them find it. The book was designed to help you succeed. The Confident OBM will give you skills that you need to go further. You will need to do extra research. You will need to learn some of the programs and apps that I have mentioned to streamline your processes. It is meant as a crash course in business management. It can also guide you in your freelance work or individual management jobs. Use the tools and information included and apply them to your current work place if possible. You’ll be surprised at how easily organized you can become.

Most managers practice everything in here on a daily basis but maybe didn’t know how to show case their skills. This will help you. I have also included links to forms I created. You can copy and save them on to your own computer or cloud profile. Use them with your jobs going ahead.

Practice and the ability to show case your skills, are key to moving up in your career. You can also use this if you are wanting to transition career paths. I am working getting out of the shipping and logistics field. I want to switch over to marketing. It is a lot of work! I say, if it helps me get where I want to go, it is all worth it.
